Forward-Backward Asymmetry inπpInelastic Reactions

Abstract
It is shown that the recently observed asymmetry between forward and backward in inelastic interactions can be simply explained by kinematical considerations. The effect is a characteristic of the multiperipheral model, and a quantitative estimate is in excellent agreement with the data.
