Abstract
Steroid hormone excretion studies (estrone and androgens) in a series (8) of [female][female] with acne showed a statistically significant difference in the excretion of estrone and in the ratio of androgens to estrone between the control group (8) and the acne patients. The more recent literature concerning the possible endocrine factors in acne is discussed.
