Abstract
Synopsis: Some similarities and differences between the known immature stages of the Empididae and Dolichopodidae are discussed in relation to the recognition of these families in the larval or pupal stage. An attempt is made to distinguish similarities that result from convergence from those that may indicate affinity. This publication has 8 references indexed in Scilit:
