Abstract
In superficial, or externally applied, laser photodynamic therapy, it is important to ensure that the irradiance over the field of illumination is uniform, with the ideal being a 'top hat' profile. The authors have applied the image method to demonstrate a simple approach for achieving a sharply defined uniform illumination.
