Abstract
Several commercially available germanium resistance thermometers have been studied at temperatures below 0.1 K. The major impediment to the removal of heat dissipated by the measuring current is the weak carrier–phonon interaction. Precautions required for the reliable use of these thermometers are dicussed. Keywords
