Abstract
Guinea pigs injd. sub-cut, with histamine-beeswax developed perforated peptic ulcers and died from peritonitis in 161 + 35 hrs. If previously thyroidectomized, they died in 56 + 8 hrs.'' Thiouracil treatment had no significant effect on survival time. Admn. of either thyroxin or desiccated thyroid sensitized the animals so that they died within 30 min. after the first histamine-beeswax injn. Keywords
