Abstract
Tryptic peptides of the 2 main components of hemoglobin were analyzed in order to elucidate structural differences and to determine whether 1 is a precursor of the other or if the 2 components are synthesized by 2 systems under different genetic control. There are major differences in the electrophoretic patterns, which argue for the acceptance of the theory of separate synthesis, separate genetic control. This publication has 10 references indexed in Scilit:
