Abstract
A new and simple algorithm is developed for the multivariable digital control systems with deadbeat unit-step response. A general controller design algorithm, advanced by Youla el al. (1976), is combined with the pole placement technique to treat this deadbeat unit step response problem. In this work, attention is not restricted to the special case of square minimum phase plant or minimum time deadbeat controller synthesis. Keywords
