Abstract
In dogs, exptl. hemor-rhagic pancreatitis produced by intraductal injn. of bile under high pressures led to a fatal outcome in 78% of the animals. Treatment with penicillin reduced the mortality to 42%. Treatment with streptomycin was suggestively effective, but the use of intestinal antisepsis before production of pancreatitis or pancreatectomy afterwards did not reduce mortality. Keywords
