Abstract
Attempts to isolate virus from the cerebro-spinal fluid of 73 patients with multiple sclerosis were made using primary tissue cultures derived from the choroid plexus or the brain of 2 to 3 month-old human embryos. No cytopathic effect was observed, even after incubation of inoculated cultures for as long as 2 months or after 1 or 2 "blind" passages. Keywords
