Abstract
(1) Larvae of Drosophila melanogaster (wild type) were fed with differently labelled [14C]‐glucose. Drosopterine and isoxanthopterine were isolated from the extracts of the young flies. After the administration of glucose‐[1‐14C] both pterines had the same specific radioactivity; after glucose‐[U‐14C] and glucose‐[6‐14C] isoxanthopterine had a lower activity than drosopterine (70% and 45% resp. with respect to the latter).
