Abstract
Twenty-five-day-old corn plants of 9 single-cross and inbred strains were sprayed with 1000, 2000, 4000 and 8000 ppm. maleic hydrazide. The treatments resulted in growth inhibition, leaf pigment development, increased drought susceptibility, and abnormalities of the tassels and upper leaves. Responses were progressively more pronounced with increasing concns. The various strains of corn did not all show the same degree of response. This publication has 6 references indexed in Scilit:
