Abstract
We give conditions under which general bipartite entangled non-orthogonal states become maximally entangled states. Using these conditions we construct a large class of entangled non-orthogonal states with exactly one ebit of entanglement in both bipartite and multipartite systems. One remarkable property is that the amount of entanglement in this class of states is independent on the parameters involved in the states. Finally we discuss how to generate the bipartite entangled non-orthogonal states. Keywords
