Abstract
In chronic and acute trichomoniasis in the domestic pigeon due to T. gallinae. PSSS (crystalline potassium penicillin plus sulfadiazine, sulfamerazine, and sulfamethazine), aureomycin, and nitrophenide (Megasul) appeared therapeutically ineffective, whereas Enheptin was exceedingly effective against all strains tried. The amts. of the latter for max. therapeutic effectiveness were considerably below toxicity levels. It was indicated that T. gallinae does not become Enheptin-fast, nor does it lose its pathogenicity under 10 days exposure to sub-trichomonacidal [center dot] Enheptin in a treated bird. Keywords
