Abstract
Neither uracil nor orotic acid are able to reverse the anti-thyroid effects of thiouracil in the rat or in sheep thyroid slices. Furthermore, these pyrimidines do not inhibit either the metabolism of thiouracil in the thyroid of the rat, or the transsulfuration of the sulfur of thiouracil to the protein of a sheep thyroid participate preparation. Keywords
