Abstract
The parameters describing electron—proton double‐resonance phenomena in xylene solutions of fresh, washed asphaltene have been determined. The EPR line is found to be much more inhomogeneous than for air‐blown asphalt. The values of T1e, T2e, and proton signal enhancement indicate that the particles of fresh asphaltene tumble faster than particles of air‐blown asphalt. The surface electron—proton correlation frequency is found to be 30 Mc at 90°C.Keywords
