Abstract
A Veneziano-type representation for amplitudes is written in which the parity partners of the nucleon and the 3-3 resonance are absent. The difficulty in the earlier models of having trajectories in channel (and vice versa) is avoided. The parameters in our model are determined from low-energy data; the prediction for intermediate-energy resonances and high-energy forward charge-exchange scattering are within a factor of 2 of the experimental values.
