Abstract
A pressure jump autoclave for direct microscopic investigations is described. In the instrument, the pressure jump principle with rupture diaphragm is realized in a simple manner by use of Swagelok standard parts, which may easily be adapted to other types of autoclaves. Up to now the cell has been used for the investigation of aging processes in liquid–liquid precipitates, but the instrument can also be suited for other purposes.Keywords
