Quasi-elastic light scattering at the order-disorder phase transition in ammonium chloride

Abstract
A quasi-elastic central peak has been observed in light scattering spectra of NH3Cl. It has a width of 6.0 GHz (HWHM) at 300K and shows critical narrowing associated with the order-disorder phase transition at Tc=242.5K.Keywords
