Longevity of Radiation-Chimaeras

Abstract
Mice of a single inbred strain were given a lethal dose (LD98) of X-radiation and their haemopoietic systems restored with injections of cells from 7 different sources (isologous, homologous and heterolo-gous). The treatments were all somewhat effective in saving the mice from acute radiation death within 12 days, but varied in their influence on long-term survival. To assist comparison, cumulative mortality curves and histograms were drawn and the data analysed by 3 statistical tests for differences in distributions.
