3dElements in Superconducting PdSb

Abstract
Dilute solutions of CrSb and MnSb in PdSb are found to exhibit localized magnetic moments in both their superconducting and magnetic behavior. Solutions of other 3d element antimonides in PdSb are much weaker magnetically. The behavior of the dilute solutions bears a marked resemblance to the magnetic characteristics of the pure 3d-element antimonides. Both superconducting and heat-capacity data yield an sd exchange integral of about 0.17 eV for the conduction-electron-Mn-ion interaction, and about 1.4 eV for the conduction-electron-Cr-ion interaction.
