Abstract
Dilute solutions of CrSb and MnSb in PdSb are found to exhibit localized magnetic moments in both their superconducting and magnetic behavior. Solutions of other element antimonides in PdSb are much weaker magnetically. The behavior of the dilute solutions bears a marked resemblance to the magnetic characteristics of the pure -element antimonides. Both superconducting and heat-capacity data yield an exchange integral of about 0.17 eV for the conduction-electron-Mn-ion interaction, and about 1.4 eV for the conduction-electron-Cr-ion interaction.
