Abstract
An approximate technique for determining the thermodynamic properties of quantum fluids by the method of molecular distribution functions is developed. It consists of a separation of the problem into two parts, the determination of the classical pair distribution function at an effective temperature τ, and the quantum‐mechanical calculation of τ. It is further shown that all thermodynamic quantities of interest can be easily computed if τ is known. Keywords
