Abstract
In the two‐dimensional soap froths, made in the narrow space between two parallel glass plates, thin soap films partition the space into polygonal cells. The probability of occurrence of n‐sided polygons (3 ≤n≤12) is calculated from two models, using the technique previously developed by the author for cooperative phenomena. The theory explains the observations semiquantitatively. Keywords
