Abstract
Conventional definitions of ferromagnetic-domain-wall width are unsatisfactory because they give markedly different values for cases in which domain-wall energies are similar, or in which experimentally determined magnetization configurations are similar. A new definition is suggested which gives more reproducible values, and in some cases is easier to evaluate. Keywords
