Abstract
A visual search experiment was carried out to delineate operators' visual information processing in VDU work. Eye movements, response times and performances were measured. The operators used two different types of information processing: sequential and rereading. The relationship between information processing and performance revealed that the subject who carried out the sequential type performed better in information processing. It was also shown that regularity eye movement produced better performance. The method discussed here describes information processing undertaken for improvement in performance.
