Abstract
Rate coefficients calculated from recent statistical theories of ion–molecule association reactions are compared with new experimental data on C++H2+H2→CH+3+H and its deuterium analog. Reasonable agreement is found between experiment and both the modified thermal and phase space theories. Keywords
