Abstract
Three hybridoma lines secreting monoclonal antibodies to a closterovirus‐like particle (GLRV 3) associated with grapevine leafroll disease were produced. One of the antibody (MAbt) reacted with one extremity of the filamentous virus particle whereas the other two (MAb2 and 3) reacted with the entire surface of the virus particle.Using MAb2 in ELISA it is possible to detect 46 of the 50 GLRV‐3 isolates. In order to detect all the 50 isolates, it is necessary to use MAb1 in ELISA in conjunction with polyclonal antibodies. In immunoblotting, the three MAbs recognized a 43 Kd viral protein. This publication has 31 references indexed in Scilit:
