Abstract
Myocardial scans were obtained in 10 patients with proven myocardial infarction. Scintigraphy on consecutive days was performed with 99mTc methylene diphosphonate [MDP] and 99mTc-PPi. Images obtained with the 2 tracers were generally equal in quality. Those with PPi exhibited denser uptake, while background activity was lower with MDP.
