Abstract
The heat capacity of samples Cu and Y has been measured from 1.5 to 40 K, and the linear thermal expansivity of Cu measured in the range 2 to 80 K. The heat capacities show similar temperature dependencies and magnitudes (per gram) with a linear (tunneling?) term dominating below 4 K. also shows a comparable term below 4 K and both and show a small discontinuity of ≈ 1% near K.
