Abstract
Cortisone has a retarding effect on atherogenesis in cholesterol-fed rabbits, despite higher plasma cholesterol levels. This effect of cortisone is prevented by administration of hyaluronidase. The latter intensifies atherosclerosis and deposition of cholesterol in the liver. Keywords
