Abstract
The tunability of DBR fibre lasers using in-fibre Bragg gratings is shown to be extended beyond previous limits by the use of dual mismatched sampled fibre Bragg gratings as in-line reflectors. Tuning over 16.7 nm was achieved for only 0.14% applied strain. Keywords
