Abstract
The g factors of the first and the second excited 2+ state in Pt192 have been measured by observing the integral rotation of the directional correlation pattern in the internal magnetic field acting on Pt nuclei implanted in an iron host. Both values, g316=0.27±0.02 and g612=0.300.04+0.06, are higher than those predicted by the pairing-plus-quadrupole model of Kumar and Baranger.
