Abstract
This paper discusses psychological assessment as it relates to generating data which can be used for decision making about development and implementation problems related to the IEP. The work of Gagne and others is used to develop an instructional observation checklist entitled the Assessment Procedure for Direct Application to the Classroom, or APDAC. The manner in which this procedure can be utilized and some problems inherent in its use are discussed and illustrated. Keywords
