High-spin states and band structure inBr76

Abstract
High-spin states of Br76 have been investigated through observations of γ rays produced in the Zn66(C12,pn) reaction by bombarding an enriched Zn66 target with 38.0-MeV C12 ions. Measurements were made of γ-ray singles and γγ coincidence spectra, γ-ray angular distributions, and γ-ray linear polarizations. Level energies, decay modes, spins and parities, γ-ray branching ratios, and γ-ray radiative admixtures were deduced. There is evidence for a strongly excited ΔJ=1 quasirotational band.
