Abstract
A case of desquamative gingivitis in a 13 yr old male patient is reported. On the basis of the clinical distribution of lesions, the histopathology and direct and indirect immunofluorescent tests, the lesions were definitively diagnosed as cicatricial pemphigoid. This case is unusual because of the age of the patient. The value of immunologic tests in establishing a specific diagnosis of desquamative lesions is stressed. This publication has 6 references indexed in Scilit:
