Abstract
Evidence is presented for reversible conformational changes upon iodine oxidation of lysyl-tRNA from B. subtilis. The binding efficiency of lysyl tRNA to poly-A-ribosome complexes is also reversibly reduced by iodine oxidation. These results suggest a possible mechanism for controlling the rate of protein synthesis at the translation level. This publication has 11 references indexed in Scilit:
