Abstract
The cross section for de‐excitation of the state of N2 in collisions of a metastable molecular beam with NO and N2 molecules has been measured in the energy range 250–2200 eV. The two cross sections are roughly the same in magnitude, and decrease toward higher velocities approximately as .
