Abstract
An apparatus is described for measuring the thermal diffusivity of solids in the temperature range 30°–1000°C. It employs a method in which the dispersion and the attenuation of a thermal wave, propagated through the solid, are measured. The theory underlying this method is presented, and results are given of measurements on Armco iron and germanium. This publication has 11 references indexed in Scilit:
