Abstract
We present the exact solution of the time-dependent Schrödinger equation describing an electron bound in a zero-range potential in three-dimensional space, subject to circularly polarized light. This solution is used to study the survival probability of the initial bound state and the above-threshold photodetachment spectra as well as the total ionization rate of the model negative ion. A monotonic intensity dependence of the total rate in circularly polarized light is predicted. Keywords
