Abstract
Synthesis of glyco- or tauro-cholate from choloyl-CoA and the respective amino acid is shown to be catalysed by the soluble fraction of liver cells. Kinetic evidence supports the conclusion that there are separate enzymes for the synthesis of glycocholate and taurocholate. The kinetic parameters of these enzymes were determined. This publication has 7 references indexed in Scilit:
