Abstract
The infectious bursal agent of chickens was 10-50 m/i in diameter. It can withstand 37[degree]C for as long as 90 min. and is still viable after exposure to 56[degree]C for 5 hr. The agent was inhibited by formalin and Wescodyne, but not by phenol, merthiolate, Staphene, or Hyamine 2389. It was inhibited by pH 12.0 but not affected by pH 2.0. Ether and chloroform treatment had no deleterious effect on the agent. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
