Abstract
The first coincidence measurements of the () reaction are reported. These were performed on at MeV for . Events corresponding to removal of -shell nucleons were identified by their and energies. The energy spectra for such events are compared to predictions of -hole model calculations; the calculations generally underestimate the () cross sections. At forward angles experimental ratios of the () and () reactions are shown to differ significantly from estimates based on free cross sections.
