Abstract
A theoretical study of the band structure, density of states, and the optical properties of ferromagnetic iron is presented. The interpolation scheme parameters are those from our previous paper [Phys. Rev. B 32, 6424 (1985)]. The results are compared with other theoretical and experimental results. Upon comparing them with the recent angle-resolved photoemission data, we find the band structure to be fairly good. The resulting optical properties show a very good agreement with the experimental results. Keywords
