Abstract
DURING the last decade major advances have been made in the understanding of the metabolism of potassium and the role of this ion in a variety of pathologic states. Several excellent reviews on various aspects of this subject have appeared in the past few years,1 2 3 4 but none have been concerned primarily with the relation of potassium and the kidney. In this field recent investigation has been particularly fruitful, and it now seems appropriate to review the problem in an attempt to integrate earlier work with current knowledge. The body of this paper is devoted to a consideration of the excretion . . .Keywords
