Entrance-Channel Limitations to+and+Fusion

Abstract
The + and + total fusion cross sections have been measured over a laboratory energy range from 10 to 54 MeV. It has been found that the limitation in the fusion cross sections for these systems cannot presently be explained by the properties of the compound nucleus.
