The Dielectric Constant and Electric Moment of some Amines

By using a heterodyne null-beat arrangement, the electric moments have been calculated and the following results obtained: methyl amine, $A=1.37\mathrm{}\times {10}^{-3\mathrm{}}$, $\mu =0.99\mathrm{}\times {10}^{-18\mathrm{}}$; dimethyl amine, $A=1.22\mathrm{}\times {10}^{-3\mathrm{}}$; $\mu =0.90\mathrm{}\times {10}^{-18\mathrm{}}$; trimethyl amine, $A=1.19\mathrm{}\times {10}^{-3\mathrm{}}$, $\mu =0.82\mathrm{}\times {10}^{-18\mathrm{}}$; ethylamine, $A=2.37\mathrm{}\times {10}^{-3\mathrm{}}$; $\mu =0.99\mathrm{}\times {10}^{-18\mathrm{}}$; diethyl amine, $A=2.59\mathrm{}\times {10}^{-3\mathrm{}}$; $\mu =0.90\mathrm{}\times {10}^{-18\mathrm{}}$; and triethyl amine, $A=2.90\mathrm{}\times {10}^{-3\mathrm{}}$; $\mu =0.82\mathrm{}\times {10}^{-18\mathrm{}}$.
