Abstract
The results of experimental investigations of excitonic spectra of the CdTe superthin films on MgFe2 are theoretically discussed. The significance of different terms in the experimentally measured quantity — the energy of a photon which generates an exciton — is analysed. The theory is in good quantitative and qualitative agreement with experiments.Keywords
