Abstract
Specific-heat measurements near the magnetic phase transitions of single-crystal EuTe and EuSe are reported. EuTe data were analyzed following the method of Kornblit, Ahlers, and Buehler which assumes with and without the constraints . , and . The data were analyzed over four reduced temperature ranges, and the parameters for the range were chosen as representing data as close to the peak as possible without the inclusion of rounding error. We have obtained , , and K.
