Abstract
With the use of new material, lichen amyloidosus was reexamined with improved techniques. Island formation of amyloid in a close spatial relation to fibroblasts and absence of amyloid in perivascular spaces were reemphasized. As new findings, segregation of cytoplasmic material of fibroblast by budding and ballooning of the peripheral cytoplasm, desmosome-like and half-desmosome-like structures of fibroblasts, intracellular amyloid of dermal fibroblasts, and amyloid-like intracellular filaments of keratinocytes were described. Keywords
