Abstract
Keratocanthomas (KA) in 14 patients were treated with 20% fluorouracil ointment, 2 or 3 times daily, for 2-4 wk. All lesions responded promptly and cleared in an average period of 3.4 wk (range, 1-7 wk). Allergic contact dermatitis to fluorouracil occurred in 2 patients. This treatment response suggests that topical application of flourouracil ointment is an effective alternative to conventional methods of treating KA.This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
